Marianne Moyaert, KU Leuven

Marianne Moyaert, Dr, born 1979 in Belgium, studied theology and religious studies in Leuven. She is Professor of Comparative Theology and the Study of Interreligious Relations at the Faculty of Theology and Religious Studies, KU Leuven. Until 2023, she worked at the VU Amsterdam, where she held the chair of Comparative Theology and the Hermeneutics of Interreligious Dialogue. She is the Principal Investigator of the research project Mixed Couplehood in the Netherlands and Belgium, funded by the Dutch Research Council (NWO). Recent publications include: Christian Imaginations of the Religious Other: A History of Religionization (Blackwell 2024) and Reassessing Ricoeur’s Contribution to Inter-religious Dialogue amidst Contemporary Critiques of Religion, Approaching Religion 14(3) (2024).
