Abstract

After a brief assessment of the discussion (section 1), the essay problematizes the concept of Divine Action by formally distinguishing ten possible interpretations through the lens of Peircean semiotics (sections 2–4) and by concluding with three content-wise monitas from a Protestant (especially Lutheran) theological perspective (sec-tion 5).
